Students interested in attending the student clinic are required to have a foundational study of herbalism. Enrollment in a herbalism program is a prerequisite for participation. If you are unsure about your eligibility for the clinic, please feel free to reach out to Tatum at tatum@bearrootsforest.ca for clarification.
Each student clinic will provide 20 hours of clinical hours over 2 days per month. The clinics will run for 8 hours each day, with an additional 2 hours of at-home work required. Tatum will review the at-home work before issuing a certificate. One day attendance is permitted.
Students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience conducting consultations, completing intake and follow-up paperwork, formulating herbal remedies such as tinctures and teas, and developing recommendations for nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle adjustments
September Student Clinic will be ONLINE ONLY. The dates are September 19th & 27th. Clinic will be from 9am-5pm. This clinic will be focused on follow-ups for clients of the student clinic. Another aspect of the clinic will be a review of practice management software.
October Student Clinic will be IN-PERSON in Hampton, NB and ONLINE. The dates are October 17th & 18th. Clinic will be from 10am-6pm. This clinic will be a mix of initial intakes and follow-ups. There will be a thorough review of the intake forms and initial intake procedures. Dispensary management will be covered in-depth with students gaining an understanding of the process of dispensing tinctures and teas.
November Student Clinic will be IN-PERSON in Hampton, NB and ONLINE. The dates are November 7th & 8th. Clinic will be from 10am-6pm. This clinic will be a mix of initial intakes and follow-ups. There will also be quick consults, where students will evaluate a mock client's concerns and make a herb formula within a short (15mins) time frame.
Pricing:
One day clinic days are priced at $15/hr. Please reach out to Tatum (tatum@bearrootsforest.ca) for payment.
If purchasing individual two days clinics, the price is $12/hr. Click button below to make payment.
